The Smart Nano Test
Testing Mobile-to-XR Streaming on Private 5G
ClubMixed joined the Smart Nano NI programme to test whether a smartphone-based dual-camera live stream could travel over a Private 5G network and successfully reach an immersive XR destination.
The test involved one Android device, one active user and the ClubMixed LIVE dual-camera workflow.

What Worked
The Proof of Concept Worked
- ClubMixed LIVE was installed and authenticated on the Smart Nano Private 5G network.
- Front and rear cameras streamed simultaneously from one Android device.
- The live stream travelled through the Smart Nano network and ClubMixed streaming infrastructure.
- Live video reached the GO CLUBBING VR environment.

Honest Findings
Private 5G Is Not the Answer for Every Venue
The proof of concept worked. The right connectivity depends on the venue.
The Smart Nano test showed that Private 5G is a viable pathway for ClubMixed LIVE — but it is not automatically the best commercial choice for every DJ, club or event.
Private 5G can be valuable for managed venues, festivals, multi-camera productions, roaming devices and immersive experiences. Wi-Fi and public 4G/5G may be more practical and cost-effective for smaller or lower-complexity events.
ClubMixed LIVE is connectivity-flexible and is not dependent on Private 5G — it is designed to select the right network for the event, venue and audience experience.
